Job summary

Fulton Hogan Ltd in Tauranga is seeking two Operators to run plant and machinery for asphalt and paving projects. You will operate equipment safely, perform daily checks and work closely with the Foreperson and site crew to keep work moving.

A strong emphasis on safety, with current Class 2 and Class 4 licences and W, T, R endorsements preferred. Full training and ongoing development are provided within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience operating plant and machinery in asphalt and paving or similar hands-on environments.
• A strong focus on safety and following procedures.
• Willingness to gain licences/endorsements if required by the role.

We’re looking for x2 Operators to join our team at Fulton Hogan. In this role, you’ll operate plant and machinery to help deliver Asphalt and Paving work safely, on time, and to a high standard. This is a hands‑on role for someone who takes pride in doing good work, values safety and wants to keep building their skills. You’ll work closely with your Foreperson and site crew to get the job done the right way.

Ngā tino kawenga mahi | Key role responsibilities

• Operate plant and machinery safely, efficiently and effectively across asphalt and paving activities.
• Accurately complete daily plant checks and basic maintenance, and keep equipment clean, presentable and ready for work.
• Diligently follow site plans, pre-start requirements and safety, environmental and quality processes every day.
• Speak up, push pause when needed and help identify safer, better ways of working.
• Proactively support the wider team with other duties as needed to keep work moving.

Kei te kimi mātou i tētahi e whai ana i ēnei pūkenga | We’re looking for someone with Experience operating plant and machinery in asphalt and paving or similar hands‑on environments.

A strong focus on safety, wellbeing and doing the job right first time. Current Class 2 and 4 licences, or a willingness to gain this with our support. W, T, R endorsements are a must for this role. A practical, reliable and team‑focused approach, with the confidence to follow instructions and think ahead. A positive attitude, willingness to learn and real pride in a job well done.
