Job summary

AA New Zealand is seeking an Artificial Intelligence Engineer to design, implement and maintain AI solutions that add real value for staff and customers. You’ll collaborate with a talented, cross-functional team in a fast-moving, purpose-driven organisation.

You’ll blend strong Python programming, cloud platform experience and solid AI algorithm knowledge with software engineering best practices, documenting work and driving innovative, data-driven decisions.

The AA is on an AI journey with strong executive buy in and direction, and to continue this growth we are now looking for an Artificial Intelligence Engineer to join the AA team.

What You’ll Be Doing | Mō te Tūranga

As an Artificial Intelligence Engineer in our AI team, you'll play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining AI solutions that support our business and deliver real value to our staff and customers. You'll work closely with talented colleagues in a collaborative environment, helping to shape the future of data-driven decision making at AA. Using a best of class AI environment, your work will involve developing and supporting AI systems, ensuring documentation is up to date, integrating solutions with other AA systems, and contributing to a safe and innovative workplace. You'll also have the opportunity to grow your skills through ongoing learning and development.

About You | Mōu

You’ll have proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining AI or machine learning solutions. You have strong programming skills in languages like Python, experience with cloud platforms, and a solid understanding of AI algorithms and software engineering best practices. You’re a natural problem-solver, able to interpret business needs and turn them into practical solutions, and you thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
