Job summary

AA New Zealand is seeking an experienced automotive technician to join our workshop in Christchurch. You will perform servicing, repairs and inspections to AA standards, diagnose issues, deliver clear reports, and communicate with customers to ensure high-quality service.

You will promote AA products, stay current with new technology, and develop your skills within a supportive team. Requirements include an Automotive Trade Qualification, minimum three years’ experience, a NZ Driver Licence, and

What You'll Be Doing | Mō te Tūranga

You'll carry out high-quality vehicle servicing, repairs and inspections that support the AA's goal of delivering trusted, reliable automotive care. You'll diagnose issues, complete accurate reports, communicate clearly with customers, and ensure every interaction meets our service standards. You'll also promote relevant AA products, stay up to date with new technology and processes, and continue developing your skills as part of a supportive, professional workshop team.

You Will

About You | Mōu

You're an experienced automotive technician who takes pride in delivering quality work and clear communication. Confident across servicing, repairs and inspections, you bring a strong customer focus and a professional, safety-minded approach to your day-to-day work.

You Will Bring

• A relevant Automotive Trade Qualification.
• Minimum three years’ recent experience in the automotive industry.
• A current Warrant of Fitness (WOF) Authority preferable.
• A clean Full New Zealand Driver Licence.
• Ability to service, repair and inspect a wide range of passenger and light vehicles.
• Strong understanding of customer service principles and good communication skills.
