Job summary

Babbage Consultants Limited is seeking an Accounts Assistant to manage end-to-end accounts receivable and payable in our Auckland finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll handle invoicing, receipting, credit control and supplier processing for a NZ-owned multidisciplinary consultancy.

You will work closely with the Financial Controller and project managers to ensure accurate invoicing and timely payments, while maintaining strong customer service and confidential handling of

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable or accounts assistant role.
• Experience with Xero; project-based invoicing or professional services background is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to manage deadlines and shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices accurately and on time with approvals.
• Receipt client payments against invoices and produce monthly statements.
• Manage overdue debtors and escalate long-outstanding amounts.
• Prepare and send accurate client invoices monthly in collaboration with project managers.
• Support project administration and reporting, including AP/AR reports.
