Liebherr-Australia Pty. Ltd. - New Zealand invites applications for an Apprentice Technician in the Earthmoving Division.

This entry-level program combines on-the-job training with trade school to service, maintain and support Liebherr heavy equipment used in construction and civil projects. You will work alongside skilled technicians, learn diagnostic methods for mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical faults, operate workshop tools, and complete your apprenticeship while earning a

Qualifications

• Enrolled in, or committed to completing, a Certificate in Heavy Automotive Engineering.
• A genuine interest in mechanical equipment, heavy machinery, and developing a long-term trade career.
• Strong literacy, numeracy, and basic computer skills, with the ability to complete training and workplace documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to safely use hand tools and follow workplace safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist qualified technicians with the inspection, maintenance, repair and overhaul of heavy equipment and machinery.
• Learn to diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical faults while developing strong technical skills.
• Safely operate workshop tools, equipment and lifting devices while maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
• Successfully complete your apprenticeship training, attend required trade school and maintain training records.
• Work across different service areas and participate in on-the-job training to build broad industry experience.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement in everything you do.
