Job summary

Liebherr-Australia Pty. Ltd. - New Zealand is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to service, diagnose and repair Liebherr equipment in the field across Auckland and New Zealand.

You will handle mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault finding, servicing and maintenance, and build strong relationships with customers while travelling to sites. Overtime and extensive training are provided.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Diesel or Mobile Plant Mechanic.
• Experience with earthmoving or heavy mobile equipment.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault-finding skills.
• A current driver's licence.
• Flexibility to travel to customer sites and work overtime when required.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Basic Word and Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, diagnose and repair Liebherr equipment in the field across Auckland and New Zealand.
• Perform mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault finding.
• Carry out major and minor servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Fabrication and new machine builds as required.
• Complete accurate service reports and liaise with customers.

About The Role

As a Field Service Technician, you'll be out in the field working directly with customers across Auckland and New Zealand. You'll service, maintain, diagnose and repair a diverse range of Liebherr equipment, including wheel loaders, material handlers and excavators. You'll have the opportunity to work on everything from routine servicing through to complex mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault finding, while developing strong relationships with key customers along the way.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Mechanical, hydraulic and electrical diagnostics and fault finding
• Major and minor servicing
• Preventative maintenance and component replacement
• Fabrication and new machine builds as required
• Completing accurate service reports
• Working directly with customers and key accounts
• Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
• Travelling to customer sites across Auckland and wider New Zealand
• Working additional hours when required, with overtime paid at time and a half

Skills & Experience:

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a hands-on technician who takes pride in their work, enjoys solving problems and is comfortable working independently in the field. You'll ideally have:

• A trade qualification as a Diesel or Mobile Plant Mechanic
• Experience with earthmoving or heavy mobile equipment
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault-finding skills
• A current driver's licence
• Flexibility to travel to customer sites and work overtime when required
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Basic Word and Excel skills

Liebherr Equipment Experience Is Highly Desirable. Forklift, W, T, R and Air Conditioning tickets will also be highly regarded.
