Job summary

Liebherr-Australia Pty. Ltd. in New Zealand is offering an Apprenticeship in the Earthmoving Division. You will learn to service, maintain and support a range of earthmoving equipment while gaining a recognised qualification and real-world experience.

Application closes on Sunday 27 September 2026 and the Start Date is Monday 18 January 2027. You will work alongside skilled technicians, develop safety practices and complete trade school requirements during the program.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in, or committed to completing, a Certificate in Heavy Automotive Engineering.
• Interest in mechanical equipment and heavy machinery.
• Ability to complete training and workplace documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist qualified technicians with inspection, maintenance, repair and overhaul of heavy equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical faults.
• Operate workshop tools safely and maintain a clean, organised workspace.
• Complete apprenticeship training and attend trade school.

• Demonstrate commitment to safety, quality, teamwork and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Assist qualified technicians with the inspection, maintenance, repair and overhaul of heavy equipment and machinery.

• Safely operate workshop tools, equipment and lifting devices while maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
• Successfully complete your apprenticeship training, attend required trade school and maintain training records.

• Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement in everything you do.

Skills & Experience

• Strong literacy, numeracy, and basic computer skills, with the ability to complete training and workplace documentation.
