Fisher & Paykel Appliances in Christchurch is seeking a Customer Experience Technician Apprentice. You will receive comprehensive hands-on training across a wide range of household appliances while working with experienced technicians to develop the practical skills needed to become a qualified Appliance Service Technician.

You'll diagnose, service and repair appliances, gain structured mentoring, and progressively work in customers' homes.

Qualifications

Interest in technology, mechanics or hands-on problem solving.
Willingness to learn new skills.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Good organisational and time management abilities.
Practical, solution-focused mindset.
Full New Zealand driver’s licence or ability to obtain one soon.

Responsibilities

Learn how to diagnose, service and repair a range of household appliances.
Receive structured on-the-job training from experienced technicians and mentors.
Assist with appliance repairs in the workshop and in customers' homes as skills develop.
Develop strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills through hands-on experience.
Complete service documentation and job records accurately.
Build product knowledge through training sessions, manuals and online learning resources.
Deliver excellent customer service and maintain professional interactions with customers.
Follow health and safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environment.
