Job summary

Auckland City Mission is seeking a role in Auckland to support AOD professionals and clients within the residential program. You will engage with clients, assist in planning, handle intake/discharge, oversee medication, and supervise activities, with learning and mentoring provided.

Qualifications

• Level 4 qualification in addictions/mental health/social practice or health science.
• Ability to demonstrate commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Mission values.
• Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
• Appreciation of NZ’s multicultural context among staff, volunteers and clients.
• Must hold a current Full NZ Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients in the house.
• Assist AOD professional with planning for each client.
• Assist with intake and discharge procedures.
• Oversee client self-administration of medication per procedures.
• Supervise participants during outings or activities as required.
