Job summary

ZURU Edge is seeking a commercially curious Sales Analyst to join our fast-paced CPG team in New Zealand. You will power our National Account insights, owning trade reporting across major retailers and evaluating promotional ROI to inform strategy.

You'll work closely with Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance, building dashboards and presenting data-driven recommendations. A 1–3 year background in FMCG analytics is expected, with strong Excel and data platform experience.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a Sales Analyst, Category Analyst, Commercial Analyst, VMI or Account Executive support role in FMCG/consumer goods.
• Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, XLOOKUP, modelling) and PowerPoint; ability to build clear, insight-led slides under pressure.
• Experience with major retail data platforms: Quantium, Dunnhubby, NIQ/NielsenIQ Scan, Circana/IRI, Coles 360 or similar.
• Strong commercial instincts and ability to translate numbers into stories.
• Excellent attention to detail with multi-source data and tight deadlines.
• Confident communicator who distils complex data for non-analytical audiences.
• Full NZ working rights (citizen, permanent resident, or valid working visa).

Responsibilities

• Own weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc trade performance reporting for key retail customers.
• Build and maintain dashboards and scorecards tracking sell-out, distribution, share of shelf, and promotions uplift.
• Monitor KPIs vs targets; identify risks/opportunities and present findings to the commercial team.
• Serve as the single source of truth for portfolio sales data across internal reports and customer submissions.
• Analyse promotional activity and ROI; support Joint Business Plan (JBP) development and evaluation.
• Prepare customer-ready category/brand presentations for range reviews and new listings.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to align calendars and budgets.
