Job summary

84 Recruitment is seeking a hands-on Data Product Owner to own the backlog and roadmap for the Data, Analytics & AI stream in Auckland. This 12-month fixed-term role combines data leadership with delivery of BAU and enterprise projects in a modern data stack.

You will translate business needs into clear requirements, drive data-driven decisions, and partner with senior stakeholders and the wider data team to deliver impactful outcomes in a hybrid Auckland setting.

Qualifications

• Data-delivery experience with data teams and backlog ownership.
• Background as a Business Analyst.
• Strong BI, analytics and data product management foundations, AI curiosity a plus.
• Experience on enterprise data projects including migration, integration, analytics or BI.

Responsibilities

• Own the backlog and roadmap across the Data, Analytics & AI stream.
• Lead agile delivery of BAU and projects – sprint planning and prioritisation.
• Turn business needs into clear requirements and data into decisions.
• Partner with senior stakeholders and the wider data team.
