Job summary

Southern Cross is building a new Data & AI function in Auckland. We’re seeking an Analytics Engineer to design, build and maintain dbt models that transform raw data into analytics-ready datasets used daily by the business.

You will work with data engineers, analysts and stakeholders to deliver fit-for-purpose data products, leverage Snowflake, dbt, Git, CI/CD, and support Power BI reporting while embedding quality and governance across the data stack.

Qualifications

• Experience building analytics solutions with Snowflake and dbt.
• Strong SQL and data modelling knowledge, including dimensional modelling.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD and engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain analytics data models using dbt and Snowflake.
• Develop scalable, performant data models and documentation.
• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to meet requirements.
• Support Power BI and other reporting tools with curated data.
• Ensure data quality, lineage and governance across datasets.
