Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Hawke''s Bay Hastings is seeking a Duty Manager for the Integrated Operations Centre to provide operational leadership after hours, ensuring safe and efficient patient care and service delivery across hospital and specialist services.

You will coordinate bed utilisation, respond to operational challenges, and support clinical and non-clinical teams to maintain smooth hospital operations while managing risk and making timely decisions.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practising Certificate.
• At least five years of recent acute clinical experience within a hospital setting.
• Postgraduate qualifications, or equivalent experience, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Strong leadership, problem solving, and decision making skills in complex and fast paced environments.
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with the confidence to engage with staff, patients, whānau, and external agencies.
• Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• A current Core Advanced certificate and relevant clinical competencies.
• A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and improving equitable health outcomes for all communities.
