Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking an intern to join the Auckland Maintenance team as a Facilities Maintenance Manufacturing Engineer Intern. You will help develop standardised maintenance work instructions and integrate them into the CMMS, while drafting training materials for deployment across sites.

As the company scales, you will validate instructions with technicians, iterate based on lessons learned, and contribute to AS9100 quality aligned processes and end-to-end production improvements.

Qualifications

• Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
• Ability to create clear, actionable work instructions for technicians.
• Comfortable working in a production/manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop structured work instructions for Maintenance and PPM activities.
• Validate instructions in real production environments with technicians.
• Create training materials and templates for multiple Rocket Lab sites.
• Release instructions into CMMS and support system integration.
