Rocket Lab in Auckland, NZ, invites a Facilities Maintenance Manufacturing Engineering Intern to help develop standardised maintenance work instructions and implement them into our CMMS, supporting Planned Preventative Maintenance across production equipment.

You will work with maintenance technicians to validate instructions in live production environments, create scalable documentation, and build training materials for deployment across multiple Rocket Lab sites, aligning with AS9100 quality

Qualifications

Currently studying or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering field.
Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
Ability to create detailed, technician-friendly work instructions.
Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
Experience with process maps/flowcharts.
Comfortable in production/manufacturing environments.
Ownership and accountability for task delivery.
Proactive communicator and able to seek feedback.
Ability to work independently and manage time.
Collaborative with cross-functional teams including maintenance, engineers, IT.

Responsibilities

Develop structured work instructions for Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
Create CMMS entries and templates for production equipment.
Develop training materials for multiple Rocket Lab sites.
Create process maps and documentation of maintenance workflows.
Support Power BI maintenance KPI reporting.
Collaborate with the EIS to configure CMMS integration.
Ensure AS9100 quality standards alignment.
Work with technicians to validate instructions in live environments.
Document lessons learned and iterate on docs.
Maintain health and safety compliance.
