Job summary

Rocket Lab in Auckland is seeking a Flight Analysis intern to contribute to developing and refactoring flight analysis tools. You will interface with engineering, flight operations and regulators while documenting methods and results.

The role offers hands-on experience in space technology, mentorship from leading engineers, and exposure to launch safety projects. Start date is November 2026, with opportunities to grow within Rocket Lab.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, science or equivalent (numerical modelling, statistics, multi-physics).
• Strong programming skills in Python and C++.
• Excellent technical writing and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine flight analysis methods and tools.
• Interface with multiple departments and regulators as needed.
• Document analysis methods, assumptions and results clearly.
• Contribute to flight safety data packages and licensing documentation.
• Collaborate across teams to improve in-house software and workflows.
