Job summary

Rocket Lab Corp. seeks an enthusiastic Facilities Maintenance Manufacturing Engineering Intern in Auckland to develop and implement standardised work instructions for maintenance. You will work with technicians, integrate WIs into the CMMS, and create scalable training materials for sites across Rocket Lab.

This role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced aerospace environment. You will contribute to PPM activities, support Power BI KPI reporting, and help ensure AS9100-compliant processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
• Ability to create clear, detailed instructions for technicians.
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to create process maps and flowcharts.
• Comfortable working in a production/manufacturing environment.
• Proactive communicator and time management.
• Collaborative with cross-functional teams including maintenance, engineers, and IT.

Responsibilities

• Develop and standardise maintenance work instructions for PPM on critical equipment.
• Implement work instructions into the CMMS and coordinate with EIS for integration.
• Create training materials for multiple Rocket Lab sites to enable local deployment.
• Develop templates and process maps to standardise maintenance workflows across sites.
• Support Power BI reporting for maintenance KPIs within AS9100 structure.
• Test and validate instructions in production environments with technicians.
• Document maintenance checks and procedures for key manufacturing systems.
• Ensure health and safety policies are followed in all activities.
