Christchurch - Christchurch Health Campus - Radiology Service
Full-time permanent position working 40 hours per week
Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.
We are looking for someone with strong digital capability and a practical, problem-solving mindset to join Canterbury Radiology in an Administrator - Application Support role.
Don't be put off by the word Administrator. You don't need to have followed a traditional administration career path to be a great fit for this role.
We're much more interested in what you can do: how quickly you learn new systems, how you approach problems, whether you can explain things clearly to others, and whether you're someone who takes ownership and follows things through.
As part of the Administration and Clerical Pay Equity Claim settlement this role has been mapped to National Band 5/Profile 5 (final placement step is dependent on skills, knowledge and experience)
You'll support the applications, software and administrative systems used by our medical workforce, including Senior Medical Officers, Fellows and Resident Medical Officers.
You'll become someone our people can turn to for practical help with the systems they use in their work.
On any given day you might be:
This isn't a technical IT support role. You'll resolve what you can, understand when something needs specialist support, and connect with the right people when an issue needs to be escalated.
You may already do this kind of work without having Administrator in your job title.
Perhaps you're the person in your team who learns a new system first. Maybe you're good at figuring out why something isn't working. You might enjoy creating a better process, showing someone an easier way of doing something, or turning something complicated into instructions that make sense.
What matters is that you can demonstrate that you:
You don't need previous experience in Radiology, healthcare or application support. Experience with workforce systems, rostering, application support or healthcare may be useful, but capability, attitude and the ability to learn are more important to us than a particular career background.
If you're someone who picks up systems quickly, enjoys solving practical problems and gets satisfaction from helping other people work more effectively, we'd like to hear from you.
Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand. We embrace a workforce that is diverse and inclusive so that we are better positioned to understand and service our community. We welcome applications from our diverse Māori, Pacific, disabled, and rainbow communities.
