Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Christchurch Health Campus is seeking an Administrator to support the applications, software and administrative systems used by our medical workforce, including Senior Medical Officers and Resident Medical Officers. You don't need a traditional admin background; we value problem solving, clear explanations and taking ownership.

Full-time permanent position working 40 hours per week

About the role

You'll support the applications, software and administrativesystems used by our medical workforce, including Senior Medical Officers,Fellows and Resident Medical Officers.You'll become someone our people can turn to for practicalhelp with the systems they use in their work.

On any given day you might be:

  • helping someone navigate an application or resolve a straightforward system issue
  • setting up a new member of our medical workforce with the systems and access they need
  • showing someone how to use a system or application effectively
  • working with our PACS team or other support teams to resolve an issue
  • developing clear user guides or process documentation
  • maintaining and updating medical workforce roster patterns
  • orworking across several systems and tasks while keeping information accurate and up to date

This isn't a technical IT support role. You'll resolve whatyou can, understand when something needs specialist support, and connect withthe right people when an issue needs to be escalated.

About you

You may already do this kind of work without having Administrator in your job title. Perhaps you're the person in your team who learns a newsystem first. Maybe you're good at figuring out why something isn't working.You might enjoy creating a better process, showing someone an easier way of doing something, or turning something complicated into instructions that makesense.

What matters is that you can demonstrate that you:

  • learn new software, applications and systems quickly
  • are confident exploring how systems work and developing a strong working knowledge of them
  • approach problems logically and can work through straightforward issues
  • can explain systems and processes clearly to other people
  • are accurate and have strong attention to detail
  • can organise your work and manage competing priorities
  • communicate confidently and build positive working relationships
  • take ownership and follow things through
  • are comfortable working with confidential and sensitive information

You don't need previous experience in Radiology, healthcareor application support. Experience with workforce systems, rostering,application support or healthcare may be useful, but capability, attitude and the ability to learn are more important to us than a particular careerbackground.
