Job summary

ACC New Zealand is seeking an Actuarial Analyst I to join our Actuarial team in Wellington. The role supports actuarial modelling, data analysis, reporting and business insights to inform decisions that improve customer outcomes and keep Kiwis safe.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, accounting or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data, models and complex information; interest in programming and analytical tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; translate findings into business insights and provide actionable advice to stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder relationship management; build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
• Collaborative approach to team engagement and delivery.
• Desire to innovate, improve processes and develop technical capability.
• Ability to thrive in a varied and dynamic environment with diverse projects.
• Understanding of the ACC Scheme and its support to New Zealanders.
• Active membership or eligibility for membership of the NZ Society of Actuaries.
• Commitment to studying for actuarial examinations and progression to qualification.
