Job summary

Salt is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join a busy finance team. The role focuses on paying suppliers accurately and on time, resolving complex queries, and supporting month-end activities.

You’ll manage the end-to-end AP function in a high-volume environment, liaise with internal stakeholders and suppliers, and contribute to automation initiatives within finance.

Qualifications

• Proven Accounts Payable experience in a high-volume environment.
• Strong invoice processing and payment run experience.
• Experience with supplier reconciliations and month-end activities.
• Experience working with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Exposure to both AP and AR functions is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Process high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Manage the end-to-end accounts payable function.
• Investigate and resolve supplier, invoice, and purchase order queries.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure invoices are approved, coded, and processed correctly.
• Prepare and process weekly, monthly, urgent, and international payment runs.
• Monitor and manage a busy AP inbox.
• Complete account and clearing account reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end close activities.
• Calculate and report on unprocessed supplier invoices.
• Support Accounts Receivable activities as required.
• Manage company credit card reconciliations.
• Assist with finance administration, reporting, and ad hoc projects.
• Contribute to finance process improvement and automation initiatives.
• Support the implementation of more efficient ways of working across the business.

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join a busy and fast-paced finance team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership, thrives in a high-volume environment, and can confidently manage competing priorities while maintaining exceptional accuracy.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring suppliers are paid on time, resolving complex queries, supporting month-end activities, and contributing to finance process improvements and automation initiatives.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Accounts Payable Process high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
• Manage the end-to-end accounts payable function
• Investigate and resolve supplier, invoice, and purchase order queries
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure invoices are approved, coded, and processed correctly

What We’re Looking For

Essential Experience

• Proven Accounts Payable experience in a high-volume environment
• Strong invoice processing and payment run experience
• Experience with supplier reconciliations and month-end activities
• Ability to investigate and resolve complex account queries
• Experience working with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
• Exposure to both AP and AR functions is advantageous
