Job summary

Ernslaw One Ltd in Auckland is seeking a motivated General Accounting Assistant who has recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce. This is a foundation role designed to build a long-term career in finance, offering exposure to a broad range of accounting activities and hands-on learning.

You'll support accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, month-end tasks and reporting, while developing strong Excel and organisational skills in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• A recently completed degree or tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• A willingness to learn and take ownership of your work
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Strong Microsoft Excel and computer skills

• The ability to think beyond simply processing transactions and understand the wider business impact of your work

Responsibilities

• Accounts payable processing and supplier management
• Accounts receivable administration and customer account support
• Bank, creditor, debtor and general ledger reconciliations
• Assisting with month-end finance activities

• Supporting continuous improvement of finance processes
