Job summary

IAG is seeking a Team Lead, Operations Support to direct a 24/7 technology operations and production support team across ANZ. You’ll ensure reliable platform performance, coordinate releases, and guide incident response while partnering with engineering and business units to improve service outcomes.

Based in Auckland, Christchurch or Wellington, this permanent role offers opportunity to lead in a large insurance tech environment and drive continuous improvement across multiple technology

Qualifications

• Experience leading technology operations, production support or application support teams.
• Strong people leadership skills with a focus on coaching, development and team engagement.
• Ability to manage incidents, competing priorities and operational demands within a 24/7 support environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of technology professionals through coaching, feedback, recognition and career development.
• Lead a 24/7 operational support capability, overseeing operational monitoring, triage, incident response and service restoration activities to maintain reliable platform performance.
• Coordinate production support, release activities and service requests across multiple technology environments.
• Use operational insights and service data to identify trends and deliver continuous improvement initiatives.
• Partner with engineering, testing, delivery and business teams to resolve issues and improve service outcomes.
• Manage external partners and suppliers to ensure service expectations and performance standards are achieved.
• Provide clear reporting on service health, risks, capacity and improvement opportunities to support decision making.
