Job summary

2 Cooks required for an Indian treataurant

Full time positions

Pay rate $25.00 per hour

• The role will involve the following responsibilities:
• Ensuring kitchen equipment's are in proper working conditions.
• Prepare and plate up meals as require with any dietary requirements.
• Ensuring the quality of food before it leaves the kitchen
• Ordering stock and checking goods on arrival.
• Assisting with menu planning.
• Maintain and observe standards of food safety at all times.
• Food wastage and cost control and regular stock checks/stock takes.
• Train other kitchen staff whenever required.
• Keep all work areas surfaces clean and tidy at all times, including washing dishes, keeping fridges/freezers clean inside and out.
• Adhere to other duties assigned from time to time by the employer.
• Normal employment hours will be minimum 30 hours per week. Pay rate will be $25.00 per hour.

Ideal candidates must demostrate the following;

• Must have minimum of 2 years experince preparing curries and tandoori dishes.
• Flexibility to work including weekeds and on public holidays.
• Applicants for this position should have NZ citizenship, permanent resiidence or a vaild work visa.
