Job summary

StormGeo in Bergen, Norway seeks a Weather Forecaster to provide essential weather support for offshore oil and gas, renewable energy, and media clients. You will help clients make informed decisions and keep operations safe and efficient.

The role may include writing weather reports and requires comfort with shift rotations, including nights, weekends and public holidays. This temporary cover runs from January 2027 to January 2028 in Norway with a team of expert meteorologists.

Qualifications

• Forecasting experience, preferably in marine, renewable energy, or aviation forecasting.
• Strong communication skills with fluency in both written and spoken Norwegian and English.
• Ability to work on a shift rotation, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Systematic, structured, and proactive approach to work.
• Open-minded and enthusiastic team player with a strong focus on delivering client support.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and timely weather forecasts to clients across multiple industries.
• Adapt forecasting knowledge and continuously improve forecasting accuracy.
• Collaborate with our global forecast centers and maintain high-quality service standards.
