Blue Moon Metals Inc. is seeking an experienced Mine Manager to lead the underground operations of the Nussir copper project in Norway.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
• 15+ years in mining operations with 5+ years in senior supervision.
• Knowledge of Norway mining regs, health and safety, and environmental practices.
• Proven leadership, team building, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage underground operations of the Nussir mine, including production, maintenance, safety and environmental compliance.
• Develop and implement plans, budgets and schedules to meet targets and optimize resources.
• Lead construction of underground infrastructure to support mining operations.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations, health and safety standards, and environmental policies.
• Mentor a multidisciplinary team and foster a strong safety culture.
• Monitor KPIs and take corrective actions to address variances.
• Coordinate between mining, operations, engineering, geology and environmental teams.
• Oversee mining contractor performance and costs to stay on plan.
• Drive adoption of new technologies, equipment and best practices for efficiency.
• Prepare reports on performance, safety and compliance for senior management.
• Manage stakeholder relationships with regulators, Indigenous communities, suppliers and authorities.
