Job summary

Sperton Global in Bergen is seeking an experienced Telecom Engineer to join an EPCIC project, focusing on telecommunications across global design, detailed design, work package development, follow-up, and as-built phases. The ideal candidate has knowledge of Norwegian Continental Shelf telecoms and Equinor/NORSOK standards.

The role requires performing telecom activities during design phases, creating work packages, and supporting as-built documentation, with potential to act as Deputy

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience with telecommunications deliverables for offshore projects (Norwegian Continental Shelf).
• Knowledge of Equinor requirements and NORSOK standards.
• Experience with fiber optic networks and cabling.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Responsibilities

Sperton Global is looking for an experienced Telecom Engineer to join an exciting EPCIC project in Bergen.

The role will focus on telecommunications engineering activities across the global design, detailed design, work package development, follow-up, and as-built phases of the project.

The ideal candidate has relevant experience within telecommunications for the Norwegian Continental Shelf, along with knowledge of Equinor technical requirements and NORSOK standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all required Telecom activities during the global design phase
• Perform Telecom engineering activities during the detailed design phase
• Create Telecom work packages
• Follow up on Telecom activities and contribute to as-built documentation
• Act as Deputy Discipline Lead within Telecom when required
• Follow project activity schedules and ensure timely delivery of engineering activities

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of relevant engineering experience
• Relevant experience and broad knowledge of Telecommunications deliverables for the Norwegian Continental Shelf
• Good understanding of Equinor technical requirements and NORSOK standards
• Experience with network design, including:
• Fiber optic networks
• Network cabling
• Relevant installation experience
• Ability to work independently as well as effectively in a team
• Accurate, organized, and service-minded approach
• Ability to take initiative and adapt to changing project requirements
• Ability to motivate and support colleagues when required
• Good understanding of project schedules and activities

Required Training / Certifications

• EX Basic & EXi Basic
• FSE
• Offshore training (GSK)

Software

Experience with relevant project-specific software is required. The project references ProCoSys and Stid.

Relevant education in Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related discipline, such as:
