Job summary

Sperton Global AS in Bergen is seeking an experienced Senior SAS Engineer to join a long-term EPCIC framework. You will lead quality, delivery, and integration of Safety and Automation Systems, ensuring robust, safe designs compliant with NCS standards.

You will act as a technical pillar, coordinating with vendors and client interfaces, driving efficient project execution and continuous improvement in safety systems engineering.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' engineering experience.
• Ability to specify, dimension and integrate process control & monitoring systems.
• Experience with SAS design, integration and safety reviews.

Responsibilities

• Design and integrate SAS systems for EPCIC projects.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced "Senior SAS Engineer" for one of our client's to join a long-term EPCIC framework agreement.

In this role, you will be responsible for the quality, delivery, and integration of Safety and Automation Systems (SAS). You will act as a technical pillar within the project, ensuring that all automation designs are robust, safe, and in full compliance with Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS) standards.

What You'll Do?

• - Mainly SAS, need to have instrument knowledge.

• - Participate as SAS engineer in EPCIC modification and/or maintenance contract.

• - Responsible for SAS system design and integration

• - Participate in fire and gas safety reviews

• - System design of process, utility and electrical systems (interface, FS, SCD and HMI input)

• - Follow-up system design for equipment packages and electrical automation system

• - Designing solutions according to our client's requirements

• - Follow up vendors and vendor technical documentation; participate in test activities/FAT.

• - Ensure that vendor and engineering information required for progress of the work is identified and communicated to the project interface to other disciplines, suppliers and client

• - Perform and complete engineering documents and data registers

• - Preparation of engineering documents such as F&G, C&E, SCDs, ESD/PSD Block logic and work package

• General field instrument engineering, system design, automation and control engineering, fire & gas systems engineering, layout design, cable dimensioning and calculations, field instrumentation. Experience with studies, and preparation of study reports. Preparation of MTO`s and requisitions, preparation of installation job-cards, input to other disciplines, coordination and cooperation with suppliers and client.

• Establish, maintain and report progress for activity schedule in own discipline.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and actively seek opportunities to enhance effectiveness and cost efficiency

• - Engineering inputs to work packages.

• - As-built of drawings and red line mark-ups received from offshore.

• - Report to Discipline Lead all matters of importance.

• - Responsible for Quality and HSSE in own projects.

• - Ensure identification of changes and input to change requests.

• - Onshore survey

Who You're?

• Minimum 2 year experienced engineer

• Ability to specify, dimension and integrate process control & monitoring systems, fire & gas detection and protection/shutdown systems, including field devices and safety shutdown systems (ESD and PSD).

• Ability in taking responsibility and ownership for the procurement process of a discipline or multi discipline procurement package.

• Ability to provide necessary support during installation and MC of SAS related equipment and modifications.

• Ability to develop new and maintain system design documentation like system philosophies and specifications including alarm specifications.

• Competence to translate process functionality to the system supplier. Follow up of supplier documentation and verification of resulting software and hardware deliverables.

• Ability to interact with and understand input documentation from source disciplines like process, electrical, safety, HVAC, etc. - NORSOK standards: I-002 and IEC/PAS 63131:2017

• Offshore training(GSK).
