Job summary

Equinor in Norway is seeking a Technical Safety specialist as part of the North Development program. You will manage technical safety barriers, risk management, and ensure regulatory compliance across offshore installations, with early responsibilities and potential rotations across northern locations.

The role emphasises learning, collaboration with offshore teams, and applying best practices to improve barrier integrity and process safety while supporting continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Process Engineering, Automation or related technical discipline; degree by Aug 2027.
• No more than three years of relevant full-time work experience (formal experience not required).
• Knowledge or experience with risk management is advantageous.
• Good written and oral communication in Norwegian and English.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to safety, security, sustainability, and environmental performance improvements.
• Monitor and document technical integrity of safety-critical systems and barriers.
• Support risk assessments and barrier management for designated installations.
• Provide technical guidance on safety matters and risk reduction measures.
• Collaborate with offshore organisations, suppliers, and onshore teams.
