Job summary

Equinor seeks a development-focused engineer to join the North Development program, working on subsea mechanical systems, pipelines, and related equipment. The role offers early responsibility, potential exchanges across northern Norway, and a path toward broader discipline development.

You will contribute to safe, efficient operations while engaging with internal and external stakeholders. This position requires a degree in subsea tech or mechanical engineering and strong Norwegian/English

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree, preferable within subsea technology, automation, cybernetics, or mechanical engineering.
• No more than three years of relevant full‑time work experience.
• Good written and oral communication skills, both in Norwegian and English.
• Willingness to live and work from Harstad or Stjørdal.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience in subsea operations and troubleshoot operational challenges.
• Follow-up technical integrity of subsea systems.
• Provide technical and operational support.
• Perform maintenance, modification, commissioning of new wells, and coordinate subsea operations.
• Contribute to discipline delivery teams and lifetime evaluations.
• Support audits and verifications, and ensure safe project execution.
