Job summary

Wood is looking for an experienced Study Lead / SURF Lead to join our team in Norway. Based in Stavanger with Oslo hub, you will guide subsea studies and SURF scopes for diverse clients, from tiebacks to CCS-related work, delivering practical designs and clear recommendations.

This delivery-focused role expects strong leadership of multidisciplinary teams, interface management, and hands-on contribution from day one, with opportunities for professional growth within Wood's global energy division.

Qualifications

• Relevant engineering degree with subsea engineering experience.
• Experience delivering SURF or multidisciplinary subsea studies.
• Ability to lead studies, coordinate interfaces and provide clear recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead or coordinate early-phase subsea studies from feasibility through FEED.
• Develop SURF and subsea field architecture concepts, including tie-ins and routing.
• Coordinate input from subsea systems, pipelines, flexibles, umbilicals, structures and process teams.
• Provide practical SURF input to project teams including basis of design and cost estimates.
• Support client discussions, workshops and technical reviews with risk assessments.
