Job summary

Nexans Norway AS is seeking a Senior/Specialist Marine Installation Engineer to plan and execute marine and nearshore cable installation activities worldwide. The role requires a technical degree, at least 5 years’ project experience, and fluency in English.

You will lead multidisciplinary projects within the Cable Laying team, focus on marine installations, deliver robust technical documentation, and ensure safe, compliant operations globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a project-driven business.
• Experience from nearshore/shallow water installation.
• Fluent in English (oral and written).
• Willing to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidiscipline projects, e.g., Project Engineer or Marine Engineering Lead.
• Direct core marine and nearshore installation operations.
• Deliver technical documentation, procedures, and specifications.
• Plan and schedule marine and nearshore operations and manage execution packages.
• Interface with clients as the primary technical point of contact.
• Drive technological innovation across the department.
• Follow projects end-to-end from design to site follow-up offshore and nearshore.
• Champion safety and quality within HSE initiatives.
