We are seeking a Service Engineer to join our expanding Service Department and to work hands-on with commissioning, service, and support in a dynamic international environment. Travel and independent problem-solving are essential, with strong customer focus and Norwegian/English communication.

Qualifications

  • Technical background/education within Automation (Technician Level/ Bachelor/ Master).
  • Experience from commissioning, service, troubleshooting or maintenance of automation and control systems.
  • Strong competence in PLC, HMI, SCADA, industrial networks and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

  • Commissioning and service of SeaQ Control systems delivered to customers worldwide.
  • Troubleshooting and maintenance activities, providing technical assistance to customers and colleagues.
  • Participation in factory testing, reporting and in-house support activities.
  • Role involves extensive travel and requires a customer-focused mindset.

Duties and responsibilities

As a Service Engineer, you will play a key role in the commissioning and service of our SeaQ Control systems delivered to customers worldwide. You will work hands‑on with advanced automation and control systems, both on board vessels and in‑house, contributing to projects that ensure safe and efficient vessel operations.
Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting and maintenance activities, and providing technical assistance to customers and colleagues. You will also participate in factory testing, reporting, and other in‑house support activities.
This position involves extensive travel, and we are looking for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys solving technical challenges, works well independently, and has a strong customer‑focused mindset.

Qualifications
  • Technical background/education within Automation (Technician Level/ Bachelor/ Master)
  • Experience from commissioning, service, troubleshooting or maintenance of automation and control systems
  • Strong competence in PLC, HMI, SCADA, industrial networks and instrumentation
