Job summary

VARD Electro is seeking an Engineer for SeaQ Communications to apply expertise across ICT infrastructure, networking, CCTV, and infotainment aboard vessels. You will contribute to projects, collaborate with skilled colleagues, and support testing, commissioning, and service activities within the SeaQ scope.

The role requires hands-on technical work, travel, and a proactive, structured approach. A background in IT/Telecom and English fluency are essential for collaboration with international

Qualifications

  • Education in IT/Telecom or related field.
  • Experience with ICT and/or security systems is valued.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

  • Technical responsibility for ICT infrastructure, networking, voice, CCTV and infotainment systems.
  • Act as technical expert and provide support within SeaQ scope.
  • Participate in or lead projects and cases within SeaQ Communication.
  • Hands-on testing and pre-commissioning activities.
  • Support on-site commissioning and service cases.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Duties and responsibilities


  • Technical responsibility for system groups; ICT infrastructure, networking, voice communication, CCTV and infotainment

  • Act as technical expert for scope of responsibility. Provide support for the organization together with the team.

  • Participate in, or drive projects and cases within SeaQ Communication scope.

  • Hands-on work in testing and pre-commissioning

  • Support to on-site commissioning and service cases

  • Expected some travel domestic and abroad


Qualifications


  • Education; College/University or Vocational School within IT/Telecom

  • Preferred qualifications to design, configure and commission CCTV systems

  • Relevant experience, instead of schooling, will be considered

  • Language; English fluent verbally, and good written, as minimum

  • Preferred experience; 5 years of development and/or delivery of ICT and/or security systems and solutions

  • A plus for experience working within the maritime industry
