Job summary

VARD Electro is seeking a Service Engineer for its SeaQ Control field to join the Service Department. You will work on commissioning and servicing SeaQ Control systems delivered to customers worldwide, both on board vessels and in-house.

The role requires hands-on automation expertise, troubleshooting, and the ability to travel extensively. You will collaborate with customers and colleagues, participate in factory testing, and support projects with a strong customer-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Technical background/education within Automation (Technician Level/ Bachelor/ Master)
• Experience from commissioning, service, troubleshooting or maintenance of automation and control systems
• Strong competence in PLC, HMI, SCADA, industrial networks and instrumentation

Responsibilities

• Commissioning and service of SeaQ Control systems delivered to customers worldwide, on board vessels and in-house
• Troubleshooting and maintenance activities for automation and control systems
• Provide technical assistance to customers and colleagues, participate in factory testing and in-house support

Duties and responsibilities

As a Service Engineer, you will play a key role in the commissioning and service of our SeaQ Control systems delivered to customers worldwide. You will work hands-on with advanced automation and control systems, both on board vessels and in-house, contributing to projects that ensure safe and efficient vessel operations.
Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting and maintenance activities, and providing technical assistance to customers and colleagues. You will also participate in factory testing, reporting, and other in-house support activities.
This position involves extensive travel, and we are looking for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys solving technical challenges, works well independently, and has a strong customer-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Technical background/education within Automation (Technician Level/ Bachelor/ Master)
• Experience from commissioning, service, troubleshooting or maintenance of automation and control systems
• Strong competence in PLC, HMI, SCADA, industrial networks and instrumentation
