Job summary

Public Sector in London is seeking a hands-on Service Charge Officer / Analyst to complete the 2025/26 service charge actuals and reconciliations during a 3-month interim period, with potential extension for the 2026/27 cycle.

You will work with accruals, prepayments and service charge data, investigate queries, and help embed best practices in service charge accounting while building strong stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Some experience of service charge accounting and reconciliations within housing.
• Confident working with accruals, prepayments and financial data.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to summarise data.
• Hands on, initiative-driven and able to work with minimal direction.
• Accurate, organised and confident dealing with a range of stakeholders.

About the organisation

The organisation is a well-established housing association based in London, providing homes and strong customer services to their local community. They are looking for a hands‑on candidate to join the service charge team and support activity during a busy period.

The Role

An initial 3-month interim role focused on completing the 2025/26 service charge actuals and reconciliations, with the potential to extend for the right person and support the 2026/27 cycle.
