Job summary

Cluttons is creating a new role to design and deliver a secure, scalable data and reporting environment, enabling high-quality management information across the business.

You will lead the development of a centralised reporting capability covering pipeline, timesheets, and financial performance, unifying multiple data sources into a single analytics layer and delivering actionable insight to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering enterprise reporting platforms in a professional services environment.
• Strong expertise in Power BI (data modelling, DAX, reporting).
• Expertise in Microsoft Fabric and wider Microsoft data ecosystem.
• Data architecture and integration design.
• Use of APIs and SQL to extract and model data.
• Experience delivering financial and operational reporting, including pipeline, utilisation and profitability.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to operate at senior leadership level.
• Ability to combine strategic thinking with clear communication of complex data with hands-on delivery.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement the target architecture for the data platform, ensuring security and scalability.
• Lead design and build of a centralised data model integrating key systems and data stores (e.g. finances, pipeline, timesheets).
• Establish best practice around data structure, integration and lifecycle management.
• Lead the implementation and use of Microsoft Fabric as the core data platform.
• Define and manage data ingestion, transformation, modelling and semantic layers.
• Ensure compliance with information security and regulatory requirements.
• Deliver a standardised reporting suite covering pipeline, timesheets and financial performance across all dimensions.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that are intuitive, accurate and aligned to business needs.
• Work closely with senior stakeholders to define reporting requirements and translate needs into scalable solutions.
• Drive adoption of reporting tools and promote a data-driven culture.

Job description

This is a newly created role responsible for designing and delivering Cluttons’secure, scalable data and reporting environment, enabling consistent, high-quality management information across the business.

The successful candidate will lead the development of acentralised reporting capability, covering financial and operational performance across:

• Pipeline and forecasting

• Timesheet and utilisation data

• Actual financial performance and contribution

• Client, team, servicelineand sector performance

The role will play a critical part in moving Cluttons towards afully integrated data environment, combining multiple data sources into a consistent reporting layer and delivering actionable insight to leadership.

This is ahands-on leadership role, combining strategic design, technicaldeliveryand stakeholder engagement.

You will be positioned in a new team within the businesswhich is set up to deliver on Cluttons’ growth strategy. You will have no direct line management responsibilityalthough there will be an opportunity to mentor other members of the team asrequired.

Responsibilities

Data Strategy & Architecture

• Define and implement the target architecture for Cluttons’ data platform, ensuring it is secure,sustainable,scalableand fit for purpose.

• Ensureoptimaluse of the Microsoft data ecosystem, including Azure-based services whereappropriate.

• Lead the design and build of acentralised data modelintegrating key systemsand data stores(e.g. financesystem, pipelineandtimesheetswhich are currently in a data warehouse).

• Establish best practice around data structure,integrationand lifecycle management.

• Lead the implementation and use of Microsoft Fabric as the core data platform.

• Define and manage data ingestion, transformation,modellingand semantic layers.

• Ensure compliance with information security and regulatory requirements.

Reporting & Insight

• Deliver astandardised reporting suitecovering pipeline,timesheetsand financial performance across all business dimensions (sector, service line,teamand client).

• Ensure reporting supports both:

• Operational management (day-to-day performance)

• Strategic decision-making (forecasting,growthand profitability)

• Develop andmaintainPower BI dashboards and reportsthat are intuitive,accurateand aligned to business needs.

Business Engagement & Delivery

• Work closely with senior stakeholders across Finance,commercialteamsand Central Services to define reporting requirements.

• Translate business needs into robust, scalable technical solutions.

• Drive adoption of reporting tools and promote adata-driven cultureacross the business.

Essential Experience & Skills

• Proventrack recorddeliveringenterprise reporting platformsin a professional services environment
