Job description

Work Location: Oslo, Stavanger, or Tønsberg

Reports to: Platform Infrastructure Lead

Language Requirements: English required. Norwegian is a nice-to-have.

Purpose of the Role

At Easee, we're building technology that makes electrification effortless. Our products and solutions are used across Europe, and our success depends on attracting talented people who share our ambition, curiosity, and commitment to delivering great results.

As a Security Platform Engineer at Easee, you will be a builder. This is a dedicated, security engineering function - an opportunity to shape how a fast-scaling company thinks about security from the ground up.

You will embed security into the foundation of how we ship software: designing the guardrails, identifying vulnerabilities, and making secure practices the natural default for every developer at Easee. Working closely with our software team and our external security partners, you will translate regulatory requirements into concrete controls baked directly into our internal developer platform.

Our platform already serves over 1 million devices and processes billions of IoT events and API requests every day. Your work will have real, immediate impact at scale.

Who Are We

Easee is a Norwegian technology company with a clear purpose: Effortless Electrification for All.

We develop smart charging and energy solutions designed to make access to electrification simpler, smarter, and more scalable.

Our Culture Is Built Around Three Values
  • Dare: We challenge assumptions and explore new possibilities.
  • Care: We support each other, our partners, and our customers.
  • Deliver: We take ownership and follow through on our commitments.

We believe great companies are built by people who combine ambition with humility, who care deeply about their work, and who are motivated by solving meaningful challenges together.

Key Responsibilities
  • Security Engineering & Platform Hardening
  • Embed security controls and compliance requirements into our internal developer platform - making it easy for engineers to do the right thing by default
  • Identify vulnerabilities across our cloud environment, including penetration testing, threat modelling, and proactive gap analysis
  • Own security across the full developer platform stack: software supply chain, network security, container and serverless, APIs, secrets management, and access policies
  • Implement and operationalise security automation using policy-as-code solutions and automated remediation
Monitoring & Incident Response
  • Implement real-time security monitoring and threat detection using AWS Security Hub, Datadog Cloud SIEM, and related tooling
  • Operationalise monitoring of our current security posture to follow up on security-related events and threats
  • Collaborate with the team on security incident response and remediation
  • Stay current on the evolving cyber security landscape and proactively assess the impact of new exploits on Easee's cloud environment
Compliance & Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Work with our cyber security and compliance manager and other stakeholders to define the standard for security in Easee's cloud environment
  • Translate regulatory requirements - including NIS 2 and the Cyber Resilience Act - into practical, auditable controls
  • Partner with our external cyber security vendor and internal software teams to prioritise and remediate findings
  • Collaborate closely with Software, Product, and Legal to ensure security is embedded in how we operate
Qualifications & Skills Required
  • Hands-on experience building and operationalising security standards in an internal developer platform or cloud environment
  • Experience implementing real-time security analytics and monitoring for threat detection
  • Familiarity with AWS security tooling - Security Hub, Config, Secrets Manager - and policy-as-code tools like Open Policy Agent
  • Understanding of network security, access management, secrets management, and container and serverless security
  • Experience with incident response systems and processes
  • Strong collaborator with excellent communication skills - able to influence and align across engineering, product, and legal without a mandate
  • Proactive and structured, always looking for better ways to do things
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant IT field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Fluent in English. Norwegian is helpful
Nice to Have
  • Experience in a company that ships both hardware and software products
  • Familiarity with .NET / C# codebases
  • Hands-on experience with AWS in production environments
