Job summary

Flynn is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our Nordics project team. You will manage on-site technical and engineering requirements, ensuring work aligns with drawings, specifications and Building Regulations.

The role demands a third-level engineering qualification and 5+ years on large construction sites, with strong QA/QC, setting out, surveying and site control skills. Strong communication and planning abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Third level qualification in Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5+ years' experience in a Site Engineer or Senior Engineer role on large-scale construction projects.
• Strong understanding of QA/QC processes, inspection test plans, quality documentation and defect prevention.

Responsibilities

• Assume day-to-day management of the site technical & engineering requirements (RFIs, Submittals, Shop Drawings, Design Team Workshops, etc.).
• Ensure quality control measures on the site are implemented and are in line with the overall BCAR plan for the project.
• Liaise with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors in the planning & construction of the project.
• Support the Project Manager/Contracts Manager to ensure that works are completed as per programme, on budget to a high standard.
• Identify any information gaps, develop solutions and rectify in conjunction with the project and design teams.
• Maintain excellent relationships with the construction project team and subcontractors.
