Job summary

CTS Group is seeking an experienced MEP Lead for a major project in Norway to manage the design, installation, and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. The role requires coordinating with civil and structural works, managing subcontractors, and ensuring on-time delivery within budget constraints.

The ideal candidate should have 7–10 years of MEP coordination experience, strong knowledge of international codes and sustainability practices, and proficiency in AutoCAD,

Qualifications

• Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in MEP coordination and management in large-scale construction projects.
• Strong understanding of international building codes, standards, and sustainability practices (e.g., LEED, BREEAM).
• Excellent technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and fire protection.
• Strong project management, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, or other MEP coordination software.
• Fluent in English; other language skills are an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of MEP design review, installation, and commissioning.
• Coordinate MEP activities with civil and structural works to ensure seamless integration.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants involved in MEP execution.
• Monitor and control MEP schedules, budgets, and progress to ensure project objectives are met.
• Review technical submissions and shop drawings for compliance with project specifications.
• Resolve technical issues and interface conflicts between MEP systems and other disciplines.
• Liaise with design teams, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure optimal system performance.
• Ensure MEP works adhere to all relevant codes, standards, and health & safety regulations.
• Conduct site inspections, testing, and quality control checks on MEP installations.
• Oversee commissioning and handover processes, ensuring full documentation and operational readiness.
• Provide leadership and direction to MEP teams on-site.
• Lead coordination meetings with project stakeholders, reporting on MEP status and risks.
• Foster collaboration and continuous improvement among internal and external teams.
