Job summary

NOV APL is seeking a Senior Engineer – Marine Analysis in Arendal to perform design and analysis of mooring, riser, cable and umbilical systems for floating offshore installations. You will contribute to concept studies, detailed engineering, product development and continuous improvement of marine analysis methods.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Hydrodynamics, Naval Architecture, Marine Structures or a related discipline.
• Experience in offshore engineering or marine analysis.
• Interest in programming (Python, Fortran or similar).
• Professional English.
• Experience with marine analysis software such as OrcaFlex, RIFLEX, SIMA, SIMO, WAMIT.
• Work on complex projects in Oil & Gas, Floating Wind and CO2 storage.
• Develop advanced expertise in hydrodynamics and marine analysis.

Responsibilities

• Perform marine analysis and design of mooring and riser systems.
• Analyse vessel motions, hydrostatic stability and hydrodynamic behaviour.
• Support concept studies, FEED, detailed engineering and project execution.
• Contribute to offshore loading and CO2 injection system design.
• Develop and improve internal analysis tools and engineering methods.
• Collaborate with clients, suppliers and classification societies.
