Job summary

IKM is seeking an experienced Instrument Design and PRE professional to lead the instrument package design and oversee vendor interactions in greenfield offshore oil & gas or wind projects.

The role requires at least 3 years as PRE, deep instrumentation knowledge, and strong collaboration in multicultural teams, with English language proficiency. Positioned in Haugesund, full-time schedule through December 2027, with project-driven milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering discipline.
• 6–8 years of engineering experience in greenfield offshore oil & gas or wind projects.
• At least 3 years of PRE activities experience.
• Deep knowledge of field instrumentation design, measuring principles, and standards (NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, IEC).
• Excellent communication and collaboration in multicultural teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead instrument design and follow up on instrument package vendors.
• Act as Package Responsible Engineer (PRE) for instrument procurement packages, including IAT/FAT test activities
• Review and follow up on vendor technical documentation
• Identify and communicate required vendor information to ensure project progress
• Prepare and complete engineering documents and data registers
• Maintain and update technical and document data registers
