IKM Consultants AS in Haugesund is seeking an experienced Instrument Engineer to lead design and procurement activities for offshore projects. You will act as Package Responsible Engineer for instrument packages, coordinate vendors and ensure compliance with NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL and IEC standards.

You bring a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and 6–8 years of offshore oil & gas or wind project experience, with at least 3 years PRE activity.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering discipline.
• 6-8 years of engineering experience in greenfield offshore oil & gas or wind projects.
• At least 3 years of PRE (Package Responsible Engineer) activities.
• Deep knowledge of field instrumentation design and measurement principles.
• Familiarity with NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, and IEC standards.
• Strong multidisciplinary understanding and cooperative working attitude.
• Systematic, accurate, and proactive with deadlines and quality.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in multicultural teams.

Instrument Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead instrument design and follow up on instrument package vendors

Required expertise

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline
• Minimum 6-8 years of experience in engineering for greenfield offshore oil & gas or wind projects
• At least 3 years of experience carrying out Package Responsible Engineer (PRE) activities
• Deep knowledge of field instrumentation design, measuring principles, and standards (such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, and IEC)
• Strong multidiscipline understanding and cooperative working attitude
• Systematic, accurate, and proactive approach with a high commitment to deadlines and quality
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in multicultural teams
