Job summary

IKM is seeking an experienced Instrument Design and PRE professional to lead the instrument package design and oversee vendor interactions in greenfield offshore oil & gas or wind projects.

The role requires at least 3 years as PRE, deep instrumentation knowledge, and strong collaboration in multicultural teams, with English language proficiency. Positioned in Haugesund, full-time schedule through December 2027, with project-driven milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering discipline.
• 6–8 years of engineering experience in greenfield offshore oil & gas or wind projects.
• At least 3 years of PRE activities experience.
• Deep knowledge of field instrumentation design, measuring principles, and standards (NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, IEC).
• Excellent communication and collaboration in multicultural teams.

Required expertise

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline
• Minimum 6-8 years of experience in engineering for greenfield offshore oil & gas or wind projects
• At least 3 years of experience carrying out Package Responsible Engineer (PRE) activities
• Deep knowledge of field instrumentation design, measuring principles, and standards (such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, and IEC)
• Strong multidiscipline understanding and cooperative working attitude
• Systematic, accurate, and proactive approach with a high commitment to deadlines and quality
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in multicultural teams
