Job summary

Wilhelmsen Ship Management, part of the Wilhelmsen Group, is seeking a Senior Manager, Fleet Performance & Value Creation in Lysaker, Norway. The role focuses on strengthening how fleet performance is measured, monitored, and improved, enabling better decision‑making across operations, procurement, and client services.

You will develop forecasting tools and dashboards, establish KPIs, and collaborate with senior stakeholders to drive cost discipline and value creation for a modern cruise fleet.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, economics, finance, business analytics, or a related field.
• At least five years of experience in performance improvement, operational excellence, business analytics, consulting, shipping, cruise, or other data‑driven industries.
• Proven ability to turn data and analysis into decisions, actions, and tangible business results.
• Strong commercial understanding and the ability to balance operational and financial considerations.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders in complex, international environments.
• Advanced skills in data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Identify performance gaps and drive improvement initiatives.
• Increase transparency around fleet performance and cost drivers, especially in technical operations and fuel efficiency.
• Review spending patterns and procurement effectiveness to strengthen cost discipline.
• Develop forecasting tools and management routines to spot gaps and overruns early.
• Collaborate with operations to improve efficiency in areas like dry‑docking and fuel consumption.
• Analyze consumption drivers, identify trends and risks, and recommend actions.
• Lead benchmarking to identify best practices and improvement opportunities.
• Develop KPIs, dashboards, and reporting frameworks with clients and internal teams.
• Lead strategic reviews of service delivery models to improve operational effectiveness and identify synergies.
• Translate complex analysis into practical recommendations and actions.
