Job summary

Statkraft is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join the Beacon and Risk IT Tools teams, bridging Markets and IT to deliver digital risk management solutions. The role involves translating business needs into clear requirements, analyzing financial models, and coordinating dependencies across platforms.

You will work with quantitative analysts, developers, and business users to drive priorities from need through validation, in a dynamic, global trading environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a Business Analyst in complex, business-critical IT or digital product environments.
• Strong analytical and financial-market knowledge, including understanding of financial models, valuation methodologies and quantitative calculations.
• Experience in energy trading, derivatives, risk management, valuation, market or credit risk, or financial reporting.
• Practical Python experience for data analysis, investigation, prototyping or automation, and ability to discuss code with technical colleagues.
• Structured, hands-on approach with the ability to work independently and take ownership through implementation and validation.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder-management skills in agile, multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key link between Markets and IT, connecting business needs with effective digital solutions.
• Work with business users, quantitative analysts and developers to understand needs and translate them into clear requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Analyse financial models, valuation methodologies and quantitative calculations to support solution development.
• Coordinate dependencies between Beacon, internal models and the wider Risk IT landscape.
• Drive priorities and support delivery from initial business need through implementation and validation.
• Support the continuous improvement of risk management, reporting, analytics and process automation solutions.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to ensure solutions work effectively across systems and meet business needs.
