Job summary

HMH in Kristiansand, Norway, is seeking a Senior Application Engineer to bridge engineering, commercial teams, and customers. Translate needs into strong technical and commercial solutions, support sales activities, tenders, and product documentation, and provide expert technical guidance to account managers and clients.

You will develop quotations, contribute to project start-ups, and help maintain libraries while expanding multi-discipline knowledge in a global, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Continuous improvement mindset; creative, analytical, and structured approach.
• Strong hands-on technical experience and knowledge of drilling equipment.
• Ability to work independently while driving processes with the application and sales team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Curiosity to learn sales processes, new products, and multi-discipline technical areas.
• Excellent Office 365 knowledge.
• Knowledge of ACAD and/or 3D engineering tools.

Responsibilities

• Translate technical needs into strong commercial and technical solutions.
• Support sales activities, tenders, quotations, product documentation, and customer clarifications.
• Provide technical support to key account managers and clients.
• Develop quotations with solution descriptions and cost calculations.
• Contribute to project start-up activities and business case development.
• Maintain standard product libraries to support quoting processes.
• Collaborate with aftermarket and commercial teams to identify opportunities.
