Job summary

HMH is seeking a System Developer to strengthen the Kristiansand team, contributing across the stack from frontend to backend services and integrations. You will collaborate with engineers, testers, and product stakeholders to implement new capabilities and improve code quality.

Typical responsibilities include designing frontend and backend functionality, building APIs, and participating in CI/CD, code reviews, and deployment. English fluency is required, Norwegian is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or closely related field.
• Relevant professional experience in system-level software development in product-driven organizations.
• Front-end expertise in TypeScript, React, Git or DevOps.
• Experience building and maintaining backend services and APIs, including integrations and data flows.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices, code reviews, and structured engineering environments.
• Hands-on experience in secure data platform development or industrial IoT systems.
• Proven experience delivering production software in modern product teams.
• Familiarity with cloud services integration and scalable architecture design.
• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and deployment best practices.
• Fluency in English; Norwegian is a plus.

• Contributing to solution design, implementation choices, and continuous improvement of code quality and maintainability.
• Participating in code reviews, DevOps practices, testing, and deployment processes as part of a product team delivery cadence.
• Working with containerized services and modern engineering tooling where relevant.

Key qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or closely related fields.
• Relevant professional experience in system-level software development within product-driven organizations.
• Front-end expertise in TypeScript, React, Git or DevOps.
• Experience building and maintainingbackend services and APIs, including integrations and end-to-end data flows.
• Familiarity withCI/CD practices,code reviews, and working in a structured engineering environment with quality and maintainability expectations.
• Hands-on experience in secure data platform development or industrial IoT systems.
• Proven experience as a system developer delivering production software in modern product teams, with the ability to ramp up quickly and deliver independently.
• Familiarity withcloud services integration and scalable architecture design.
• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and deployment best practices.
• Fluent in English, written and spoken. Norwegian language is a plus.

Work location: Kristiansand

Contract duration: 6 months with option for extension
