Job summary

Goodman Masson is assisting a London social housing organisation in recruiting an interim Fire Risk Assessor. The role focuses on Type 1, 3 and 4 FRA across residential properties, identifying hazards and providing remedial actions, with FRA reports produced to required timescales.

You will work with the fire safety team, contractors and residents, offering clear safety guidance and supporting PEEP processes where needed. Prior experience in social housing and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience undertaking Fire Risk Assessments.
• NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and related legislation.
• Experience applying PAS 79 methodologies.
• Understanding of passive fire protection in residential buildings.

Responsibilities

• Undertake Type 1, 3 and 4 Fire Risk Assessments across residential properties.
• Identify fire safety hazards and recommend remedial actions.
• Produce FRA reports to a high standard within required timescales.
• Peer review FRA reports and provide clear fire safety guidance.
• Support PEEP processes and report on incidents where required.
• Maintain accurate records of assessments and remedial actions.
