The Role
We are seeking an experienced QA/QC CSA Manager to lead all Civil, Structural and Architectural (CSA) quality assurance and quality control activities on a large-scale Data Centre / Mission Critical construction project.
The successful candidate will take ownership of the CSA quality programme, ensuring all works are delivered in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, ITPs, project standards and client requirements.
You will work closely with CSA subcontractors, construction teams, engineering, design and commissioning teams to manage inspections, quality documentation, NCRs and close-out activities throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all QA/QC activities across Civil, Structural and Architectural packages.
- Develop, review and implement Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), quality plans, inspection procedures and checklists.
- Oversee quality across groundworks, foundations, reinforced concrete, structural steel, roofing, façades, cladding, building envelope and architectural finishes.
- Conduct and coordinate site inspections, ensuring works comply with approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
- Review method statements, material approvals, technical submissions and quality documentation.
- Manage NCRs, observations and corrective/preventative actions, ensuring issues are tracked through to successful close-out.
- Coordinate inspections and quality activities with CSA subcontractors, consultants and client representatives.
- Monitor subcontractor quality performance and ensure required standards are maintained throughout construction.
- Ensure appropriate material traceability, inspection records and quality records are maintained.
- Identify quality risks and defects early and drive corrective actions with construction teams.
- Support walkdowns, snagging/punch-list activities and system/area completion.
- Coordinate CSA quality interfaces with MEP, construction and commissioning teams.
- Ensure all CSA documentation is complete and compliant ahead of project handover.
- Manage the compilation and close-out of handover dossiers, turnover packages and quality records.
- Provide regular reporting on quality performance, NCR status, inspections and outstanding actions.
- Promote a strong quality culture across the project and subcontractor teams.
Experience & Requirements
- Degree or relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction, Architecture or a related discipline.
- 5+ years' experience within QA/QC management on major construction projects.
- Previous experience within Data Centres, Mission Critical or technically complex construction environments is highly desirable.
- Strong CSA knowledge across civils, concrete, structural steel, façades, roofing, cladding, building envelope and architectural works.
- Strong experience with ITPs, NCRs, inspections, quality documentation and project close-out.
- Experience managing the quality performance of CSA subcontractors.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications and technical requirements.
- Good understanding of construction sequencing and CSA/MEP interfaces.
- Strong knowledge of relevant quality standards, codes and construction regulations.
- Experience supporting handover, turnover and project completion.
- Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary construction environment.
- Fluent English required.
